Traditional Web Pages vs. Blogs

The main difference between traditional web pages and blogs is interaction. People often access web pages and discuss their findings through another medium. With blogs people are able to discuss and interact with one another within the same page. Traditional web pages remind me of a teacher lecturing at the students, whereas a blog reminds me of a discussion format. Blogs allow for information to be brought in from multiple sources and the learning is cooperative. Just like discussions it encourages questioning, asking for clarification, and expanding on ideas. Web pages often only one person has control over the content and typically the user does not interact with the creator. Blogs, in my opinion, allow for ongoing learning because they are always changing, being added to, and "edited" by multiple sources. Web pages do change, but often not as quickly as blogs.
